Jared T. Betty has been an artist for as long as he can remember. Living in the glass rich Puget Sound, has played a significant role in the type of art to which he gravitated. In 1997 Jared found himself immersed in a love for glass blowing, specifically lampworking, "where you can create whatever you can imagine" states Jared. He is self taught, and when veteran glass blowers hear that he hasn't had formal training, they are "blown" away. He works with Momka's in Seattle to test new products and teaches lampworking classes. He is also a mentor to up and coming artists. He is a member of the Glass Art Society.
He has exhibited works at Kittrell/.Riffkand Gallery Texas, Lindemann San Diego, Momka's Seattle, The Gorge White House Hood River Oregon.
He also has a grounded sense of community, with some of his donations going to, International Glass Art Society, a vase sold at auction for $600, bowl sold at auction for $200. The National Liberty Museum, a bowl sold at auction for $500. A bowl for the benefit of Farm Aid in Washington State. He has donated a "Trio of Pears" for Art in The Orchard, which place 2nd in a juried show.
